Watson Fothergill
Watson Fothergill was an architect who worked in Nottingham at the end of the 19th century/ Beginning of the 20th century. His influences seem to have been gothic churches and Black Forest chateaux. There are many of his distinctive buildings around Nottingham.http://www.watsonfothergill.co.uk/

Callanish stones
Not as well known as Stonehenge but nearly as impressive and I think cover a wider area, these megaliths are impressive because they are so remote.(OK I know that the people of Lewis don't find them remote but the rest of us do) Who can afford the ferry price from Uig to Lewis?

Reading......
The shadow of the Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon........
A remarkable first novel. Well any sort of novel really. Great atmosphere, especially if you've been to Barcelona. Excellent!
