Arthur

Been to see my mate Arthur today.
Now there's a bloke who knows how to use his retirement. He collects ...wait for it...Travelling Irons. Yes the things thatyou take with you, or should I say took with you to ensure that you looked your best after n hours of travelling. Now there are aparently thousands of people worldwide who collect Irons.( Who'd have thought that?) but few who collect travelling irons.(I suppose it's what you call a niche )And they have collectors Fairs and all. And some irons fetch thousands of pounds! http://www.irons.com/clubs.htm
Arthur also collects watches. The round pocket type. And after talking to him I can see why because they're very underestimated in this day and age. In the early 19th century they were mostly hand made, and as Arthur says, a bargain to get a gold watch at £190 when a Rolex will cost over a grand! http://www.bhi.co.uk/oldindex.htm
And finally he collects....and renovates lawn mowers and tractors. Spends hours and pounds on getting them pristine. And he wins prizes for them.http://www.fetchbook.co.uk/Classic_Tractor_Collectors.html
Otherwise, Arthur's a very normal and intelligent chap!
